Do different armor pieces do anything?

Many people are asking if the different pieces of armor that you can purchase in the armory in Halo Reach give you any special abilities. The answer is NO. Halo reach has an incredible amount of customization you can do to your character, however, none of these “armors” really do anything as far as abilities go. They only enhance the appearance of your character. Thats IT.
The different types of armors and customizations that can be selected in The Armory are..
- Helmet
- Left Shoulder
- Right Shoulder
- Chest
- Wrist
- Utility
- Visor Color
- Knee Guards
- Armor Effect
- Firefight Voice
- Emblem
- Colors

Halo Reach Is Out !

Halo reach is officially out, so everybody go grab your copies!
Most copies are coming with a special “Recon” Helmet Upgrade that you can download for free. If you have received that card in your game, you need to click the middle circular xbox button to get to the pop up dashboard, then go all the way to the left to the Marketplace tab, and then hit “Redeem Code”.

Beta Playlist Updates
A new Grab Bag gametype goes live alongside some sweet tweaks and fancy new upgrades.
- Grab bag’s “SvE Slayer” pits Spartans vs. Elites
- Spartan DMR Loadout removed from Invasion Phase 1
- CTF Flag return proximity increased
- Headhunter skull pickup radius increased
- Same team Stockpile flag removal and rescoring resolved
Looks like the Bungie team has been hard at work fixing bugs, thanks to all us great Halo Reach Beta Testers! Keep up the great work!

Halo Reach Beta is now working better

The Halo Reach Beta that came out today, certainly had problems when it first came out. But a lot of that now seems to be fixed, as i can get into games almost right away.
However, there still seems to be problems with the File Share function, used to upload videos and screen shots directly to Bungie’s website. I even saw Bungie.net disable logging in with your account for about 30 minutes, as i’m typing this, Bungie.net is fixed, but the File Share function within the game, is NOT.
I was hoping to get you guys some videos and pictures as soon as I could, but because of this problem there will be no videos until it is fixed, or high res images. I did however snap some pictures with my cell phone, and you can see all of those below with slight descriptions of what is happening in that scene.
My very first game, I got this kill about a minute into the match, called a Death From Above. You melee the enemy while falling on them, and that happens. You land on them, and snap their neck !
His head is almost backwards, lol.
